Dear Friends:

Welcome to the online site of the Southwest Baltimore County Democratic Club and thank you for your interest. We are a dynamic organization consisting of Democrats of all backgrounds and viewpoints looking to make a difference in southwestern Baltimore County.

Congratulations to the Democratic Party, President Barack Obama on winning the battle over health insurance reform. I know I speak for many in our club when I say we are proud of these accomplishments and all of those in Congress who supported this historic legislation..

This is an election year and we have some great events planned for upcoming meetings, including Candidates for Baltimore County Executive - Joe Bartenfelder and Kevin Kamenetz. The Sitting Judges will be addressing the club in April and Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler will be the guest speaker at that meeting. In May Senator Edward Kasemeyer and Delegates Steven DeBoy and James Malone will present the Legislative Wrap up. We hope to hold a special event in June - so stay tuned. If you are a Democrat living south of I-70 in Baltimore County, feel free to join us at our next meeting. Download the Membership Form and either mail the form or bring it to the next meeting. Regardless of political experience or viewpoints on the political spectrum, all Democrats are welcome with the SBCDC.
